How does Vampirism actually work?

Short answer is: it drains health, based on your level. Vampirism converts a portion of the damage you do, back into health for you. Basically a Life Drain on every damage you do. It follows this formula:

Vampirism / ((Vampirism + (BossLevel * 80)) * 0.25) = Percentage Drained

Seems complicated, I know. But basically what this means is that 100 Vampirism does not drain 100% of your damage, or 10%, or any %. It depends on the level of your boss. So for example, 1000 Vampirism at level 10 would be equal to 2,22% of damage converted back to health, BUT, the same 1000 Vampirism at level 50 would be equal to 0,80% of damage converted back to health. Those values might seem little but, if you play offensively, trying to damage as many enemies at once as possible, Vampirism can be one of the most powerful attributes there is.


Fatal strike how it works(Credits to Bonkas for the answer)

Basically FS is chance of every attack being a massive crit attack.


Passive Skill that "increases X attribute for Y seconds when you kill an enemy", how do they work? Do they stack?

Yes, they do stack, but stacks are independent. For example, lets take this skill as an example:

Increases your Critical Strike rating by 18.0 for 8 seconds when you kill an enemy.

If you kill 10 enemies with a skill, you will receive 180 critical strike rating for 8 seconds. Then, say that 2 seconds later you kill another 5 enemies. This will increase your bonus to 270. However, the 10 original stacks will expire in 6 seconds now, since 2 seconds have passed already. This means that, 6 seconds later, the 10 first stacks will have expired, and the 5 new stacks will remain for 2 more seconds. In this moment, you would have 90 critical strike rating bonus. In short, you cannot extend the duration of existing stacks, but you can have an "infinite" amount of stacks at a time.


If I uninstall the game, will I lose my progress? Is there a way to keep it, or sync multiple devices?

No, you will not lose your progress. There is no need to log in with anything and your progress will be saved, even if you uninstall the game. As of now, it is not possible to sync multiple devices into the same account, but we are working on that. What we can do though, manually on our side, is transfer your progress from one account into the other, say, if you bought a new mobile device for example. For that, please send us a message through Feedback button in-game or in Discord and we will make it happen shortly.

Does the race of my boss have any effect on the game? (Credits to Yakukoo for the answer)

As there are no stats differences between the races themselves. There are some differences based on the unique epic sets each race has.

The helmet, the shoulderpads, the gloves and the boots will have different stats based on your boss' race, which means that a race which has access to more attack speed will fare better in raids, while another race that has more absorbtion may find it easier to farm levels without that much risk of dying in the process.

So the race of the boss does have an effect on the game and it's not just aesthetical.

What is and How does the Lucky Charm Works?

Lucky Charm is the replacement of the Energy currency, each of your bosses has an independent Lucky Charm amount, this currency helps you to get more loot every time you play or raid a level, differently from the energy currency, the Lucky Charm will no longer limit how many times you play Like a Boss, but will change the amount of your loot. Your Lucky Charm cap can increase in 2 ways: By leveling up your boss: Every time your boss level up he/she will get a small Lucky Charm cap increase and a full refill. According to your VIP level: Each VIP level adds a fixed amount to the Lucky Charm cap, for example, on VIP level 1 you get + 50 lucky charm, once you level up your VIP to level 2, the bonus will change from + 50 to + 250, you always keep all previous Lucky Charm bonus plus the next one. To be more clear, let’s say that your boss is level 10, just because of that it will have 90 Lucky Charm, also everyone starts at VIP level 1, so automatically this boss will also have + 50 of Lucky Charm, a total of 140. The Lucky Charm Bonus from the VIP system is global, this means that it will be applied in every boss that you may have.

How does the VIP System work


VIP was rolled out 28th of march 2018 to replace the energy system from the original build.

Along with VIP you also have Lucky Charms (LC) which is used to multiply rewards recieved from playing/raiding.

VIP is broken down into 8 levels, which can be increased by:

•Cash purchases •spending rubies

•guild donations


Increasing your VIP level will in turn increase your LC , which is also affected by your bosses level.

LC can be refilled by two methods:

•spending rubies

•watching 15-30second advertisements (20% is refilled per ad)

A little guide for those who just faced the latest update. This way, you can level up and farm gear infinitely as lucky charm bar is being replenished by watching ads.

  • How to do Guild Raids efficiently (Credits to Bonkas, Grano, Valkhes and Toothpick)

In this guide I will try to cover some basic tips and tricks to make Guild raiding a little bit more efficient

°Firstly create a mage boss it doesn't matter which race you choose (there is minimal differences in stats for end game gear). Mages are much better at guild raids due to better AOE active skills + FS build and you will be achieving 1k raids in no time.

°Skipping Guild raids that you either don't like or don't score very highly, simply start the raid with no extra boosts and no LC, once the raid has loaded open the pause menu and quit ( as illustrated below).

°currently the highest scoring raid is "Evilness Trials" its important to know how the three activation points interact with each other ( the order in which mobs spawn) to raid this level effectively

°spawn mobs in the same position early in the raid best is the top position and kill as many as you can early into the raid, at the point when hero mobs begin to get hard to wipe quickly and when you start to take to much damage from them, spawn mobs at the bottom position ( there are no mage or archer heros and only three elites) with a good build you can survive for a long time against this setup


first a preliminary remark, each position of spawn has its own composition of heroes:

- top will spawn warlock and ranger when they reach a certain level they kill you from a distance very fast.

- left is about the same.

- bottom will span warrior, paladin and one rogue but no distance caster.

Distance casters make it impossible to survive at high level. But rogue is annoying due to its teleportation (at the start of the raid it slow you down if you use thunderstorm. so my rotation is :

center portal -> right portal -> left portal -> ... to spawn heroes at the top

when I lost half my life I use the space portal twice to make it spawn at the bottom and then continue with initial rotation to keep heroes at the bottom. then I can kill them at a distance loosing very few health

  • How to play and win in ranked gamemode (Credits to Bonkas, Toothpick and Valkhes)


A short guide for the new Ranked match

Firstly the mage class is once again OP when compared to the other two classes


°Strategy

Using mage with the same build and active skills as guild raid build, it's important to score as much as possible early in the mission, go straight for the princesses casting thunderstorm or orb shield just before picking one up, and run to the cauldron as soon as the room is cleared and the barrier is down.

Timing is very important at this early stage of the mission

Casting infestate at grouped mobs around the cauldron is also helpful to increase score early on, but don't let mobs slow you from throwing the princesses into the cauldron.

The fire traps shouldn't be a problem until enemy's level reaches around 60, I normally have at least 3k points by this time. At this point just focus on killing mobs around the cauldron in the main hub, focus on the ranged hero's while moving away from the melee hero's.


°Tips

Purchase health and damage boosts

Using potions to maximize your score, try not to use them to early I try to hold out until score is around 4k, watch out for melee attacks and kill mage hero's as quickly as possible at the later stage of the mission

Choose gear that will maximize your FS and attack. °T6 gear Lvl 55 rampant staff for extra attack Lvl 60 Abyssal staff for extra attack You may also use rampant or Abyssal head gear and shoulders for a little extra attack speed.

For Maleficence difficulty you can use the same end game gear as in normal mode. Targeting gear with high FS and Attack

I wouldn't consider this an optimal build - not from the perspective of earning maximum trophies on a raid. This build is more about survivability with health-leeching passives and quick ability spamming with the cool-down-reducing passives. My one regret: I should have put 4 points into Nimble instead of Barbaric. The extra move speed boost helps you the entire raid, not just during the end when your health is below 30%.

As another note: I choose Summon Destroyer over Build Turret for my T5 active skill - because I find it effective in the early stages of a guild raid. It does low damage, but its range is excellent; you can use it to wipe out multiple mobs with one casting. That said, I've used Build Turret and I think it's a solid choice. It just never shined in the context of a guild raid for me.

Faithful passive was finally nerfed. So warrior build with this is no longer viable.

Fatal Strike is still the best stat to increase along with attack, and some attack speed ( attack speed will reduce the duration of active skills so it can be important to adjust Atk speed depending on which skills are in use)

  • How to take advantage of the Loot Madness events (Credits to SimonMurk and Bonkas)

BUILD UP YOUR VIP LEVEL

Building up a high VIP level is quite helpful in general, and it’s specifically advantageous during Loot Madness. A good target is to reach VIP 5, which gives each of your bosses a bank of 1000 Lucky Charms (LCs), and you’ll replenish 200 LCs by watching one ad. - To raid Elite Chapter 75 ten times, you need to spend 450 LCs at a time. - On a guild raid, you only need 150 LCs at a time.


RAID CAMPAIGN CHAPTERS FOR TARGETED GEAR

Raiding a chapter during Loot Madness with your minions is a very efficient use of your time and Lucky Charms. You’ll have to watch a lot of ads to replenish your LCs, but it’s a very passive process. - Every campaign chapter rewards you with fragments of a specific piece of white, green, blue, and purple gear. When the Loot Madness event is not active, raiding a chapter with 450 LCs usually yields: ~90 fragments of white gear ~70 fragments of green gear ~50 fragments of blue gear ~30 fragments of purple gear The fragment totals can fluctuate quite a bit on a single raid. I’ve gotten 6 fragments of purple gear, and I once got 302 fragments of purple gear. These averages are a bit rough, but they might help you predict how many raids you’ll need to do to unlock specific gear. During Loot Madness, the totals double: ~180 fragments of white gear ~140 fragments of green gear ~100 fragments of blue gear ~60 fragments of purple gear During Loot Madness, the process is simple. Watch ads until you have as many LCs as possible, then raid a chapter with your minions and spend as many LCs as you can. An industrious player I know unlocked all the T6 white gear using this process during a three-day Loot Madness event. A high VIP level speeds up the process by giving you more LCs per ad watched. At VIP level 5, I’d estimate that raiding should net you 2000 fragments of a targeted piece of gear in one hour.


GUILD RAID FOR RANDOM GEAR

The guild raid fragment rewards are random, but the number and variety of fragments you earn in a guild raid are often much higher than the total fragments you earn raiding chapters or playing the campaign. - Advantages of Guild Raiding: higher total fragments, you only need 150 LCs per raid, you can pay gold to double your XP, and you’re earning trophies for your guild. - Disadvantages of Guild Raiding: because you’re actively playing, guild raiding requires a higher time investment than chapter raiding. You also can’t really target the gear you want, however, you’re very likely to earn a few fragments of most of the gear you might want. - In general, Guild Raids are always a solid use of your time, BUT, Loot Madness is about unlocking the best gear as fast as possible, which will improve your raiding performance. Targeted Chapter Raids > Guild Raids during Loot Madness, IMO.


PLAY CAMPAIGN CHAPTERS FOR TARGETED GEAR

Currently, actively playing a campaign chapter is not an efficient use of your time or Lucky Charms. The fragments you gain for playing the chapter seem to be much lower than the fragments you get for raiding the chapter with your minions. So, as actively playing the chapter takes longer than raiding it, and because you have to watch the ads to raise your lucky charms anyway, AND because you don’t even earn appreciably more XP anymore, chapter raiding > actively playing during the loot madness event. - However, actively playing a chapter allows you to hire a boss, and hiring five bosses is still a daily reward that earns you some rubies, so I’ll leave you some notes on actively playing levels, even though this is something you probably won’t do very much. Skip reading this if you so choose… - Find a level that will give you the loot you’re targeting. I like levels that are quick to complete and offer multiple pieces of useful gear. Bonus if the level has a guest boss, and bonus if the level is so easy to complete that you can complete it on autopilot. - Optional step: when you are selecting your hired boss, try reloading the bosses until you find a friend. You’ll earn them some gold. - After you play the level, if you are level 45+, hit the Replay button. Advantages of the Replay button: you don’t have to go through the play menu to select the level again, and, if you followed the optional step, you’ll automatically hire the same boss, eliminating the time to find a friend again. Disadvantage of the Replay button: you can’t pay gold for double XP. I use the Replay button when I’m looting with a level 50 boss, because the double XP is irrelevant. With a boss under level 45, I always back out to the menu and pay for the double XP. Earning max XP while you’re farming gear is the most efficient use of your gold and energy.


FREEDOM BRINGER AND GLADIATOR ARENAS

I’m still experimenting with these modes. Stay tuned to find out if these levels are worthwhile to play during Loot Madness. I suspect they are worthwhile and similar to guild raids in that they earn you a wide variety of untargeted fragments. No XP earned, though, and no trophies.


OTHER LOOT MADNESS TIPS

Open your free chests during Loot Madness for double the rewards. IMO, it is not worth watching ad after ad to unlock bonus chests – save your ad-watching for replenishing your LCs. - The Weekly Guild Chest does not double during Loot Madness, so don’t bother waiting to open it until a Loot Madness event starts. Just open it when it becomes available.


  • How to take advantage of the Quick Learning event (Credits to SimonMurk and Bonkas)

Since the introduction of Lucky Charms (LCs) and the removal of Energy, grinding XP in Like a Boss has changed quite a bit. Here are the easiest ways to earn XP:

SPAM ADS

-Watch ads to replenish your LCs, then raid chapters with your minions - The highest XP/LC for this method is with Elite 66 – you need to spend 450 LCs to raid the level “10 times.” - While tedious, watching ads and raiding means you can level up your bosses without actually playing any levels with your bosses. So you don’t have to assign their skills or craft them any equipment if you don’t want to. Just keep raiding until they are the level you want, craft them their ultimate gear, and you’re ready for the guild raids.


PLAY CHAPTER 54

-Actively Play chapter 54 repeatedly, either paying for double XP each time or hitting the repeat button if you’re doing the Hiring Trick. - Chapter 54 is still the most efficient chapter to actively play, as you can beat it in seconds when you’re high level, possibly on autopilot.


GUILD RAIDS

-Guild raiding is still a good use of your time. You can pay for double XP, you’ll earn trophies for your guild, and you’ll earn plenty of tickets and fragments. It isn’t as time efficient as spamming ads, but it can break up the tedium of watching all those ads.


-Remember to make 18 friends to unlock the 20% XP bonus and the 15% gold bonus.


TIPS AND TIERS

This section remains for those who want to actively play level 54 on repeat.


-Level 23 to 28

You’re a bit underpowered for Chapter 54 normal when you’re level 23, but you can survive if you play defensively. Hire Warriors and Archers, the higher their item level the better. Hide behind them, conserve your HP, don’t be ashamed to run away. During the XP event, you’ll only need to beat the level a few times to go up a level, so you’ll soon become more powerful and have better attack skills.


-Level 29

Level 29 is important because you’ll be able to upgrade your trinkets. You’ll also unlock Orb Shield around now, and that dramatically increases the speed and ease with which you’ll be able to complete Chapter 54.


-Level 30-38

This phase goes pretty quickly. Somewhere in the mid-thirties, if your gear is decent, you’ll find that you’ll be able to complete Chapter 54 completely on autopilot. Just turn on Auto-Attack, start the level, and come back in a few minutes to find the victory screen. Once you feel confident that you have no risk of dying, going from level 39 to 45 will take a lot of time, but shouldn’t occupy much of your actual attention. - Level 33 I'm calling out level 33 because that's when you're able to equip your first piece of endgame mage gear: The Spiked Wraps, with 462 Fatal Strike Chance.(edited)


-Level 39

Level 39 is notable because you can once again update your trinkets. The extra attack strength will help you out. - Level 40-44 This is where the amount of XP required to go up a level increases sharply. From 47,475k to reach level 40 to 83,316 to reach 41. Watch a movie while you play on autopilot.


-Level 45

You made it! You are now the proud owner of a level 45 mage. Unlock the Thunderstorm active skill, and the game opens up. Do it quickly, before the developers nerf Thunderstorm!
